Information the app uses

For activation, validation, and deactivation, rattlepop sends Lemon Squeezy the license key and, as needed, a random persistent installation identifier, Lemon Squeezy instance identifier, product or variant information, and license status. The installation identifier is generated by rattlepop; it is not a hardware fingerprint and is not derived from Windows MachineGuid.

License and trial state is stored locally under your Windows profile. The saved license key is protected with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). A small HKCU registry value mirrors trial-clock information to detect clock rollback. This local data remains until it is removed by you or by uninstall cleanup.

Update checks request a small version file from rattlepop.click and include ordinary network information such as IP address, request time, and the app version in its user agent. Debug logs stay on your device unless you choose to send them to support, and they do not intentionally record complete license keys.

Website and consent

Meta Pixel is currently disabled. If enabled later, it loads only after you choose Allow. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage and can be removed by clearing site data. Refusing optional measurement does not prevent you from using the site or product. Cloudflare may process normal request and security data when it delivers this website.

Support and student verification

Messages sent to support@rattlepop.click are routed by Cloudflare Email Routing to Gmail. We use the message, contact details, order details, and any diagnostics you choose to provide to answer the request, administer a purchase, or prevent abuse.

For the student price, we use an institution-issued email address or current enrollment proof only to decide eligibility and issue or refuse a code. Student proof is deleted after that decision. Do not send government identification or unrelated personal records.

Why information is processed

We process information to perform the software license and provide support, to protect licensing and service security, to comply with legal obligations, and—only for optional website measurement—on the basis of consent. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and international processing

Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, customer, tax, payment, and license-service data under its own terms and privacy notice. Cloudflare delivers the website and routes support email; Google receives routed support mail. These providers may process information outside your country under their own safeguards and retention duties.

Retention

We keep support and licensing information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, administer purchases, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Lemon Squeezy and payment providers retain transaction records under their own policies and legal duties. Student proof is deleted after the eligibility decision.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, update, object to, or delete information we control, or withdraw consent for optional processing. Some records may need to be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, or transaction purposes. Email support@rattlepop.click; we may ask for limited information to verify that the request concerns you.
